ANN BYRNES

 

Ann has worked in science teaching, in geology, marine ecology and in theory of education.  She was Coal Executive Office in the NSW government Department of Mineral Resources at the same time as John was Minerals Executive Officer; and both Ann and John have undertaken the same Policy Studies course at the University of New South Wales.  Ann has carried out Honours and Master degree thesis work on fossils in the Wellington district (Palaeozoic) and at the southern tip of Victoria (Tertiary).  Prior to her work at Department of Mineral Resources she was for a time the head of the Science Department at Sydney Institute (a College of Advanced Education).
